Assisting you at claim time is a crucial role we play as your trusted insurance adviser. We understand the claims process can often be complex and drawn out. That’s why, at Protego Risk Group, we will work closely with you, and the insurer, to simplify the claims process and make it as efficient as possible – ensuring you are back in business as soon as possible after the event. We take a hands on approach to claims management and will help you navigate any challenges by acting as your advocate, ensuring a favorable outcome is achieved.
Notification of Claims
- All losses or incidents which may result in a claim (other than Worker’s Compensation claims) should be reported to Protego Risk Group as soon as possible after the event.
- The first notification should be either by telephone, e-mail or via our website form and include the following information:
- Your name and contact details
- Description of the incident
- Date and Time of the incident
- Location of the incident
- Estimate of loss/damage
- Action being taken to minimise further loss/damage.
- If you receive a writ, summons or demand, please notify us urgently with this information.
- When the incidents involve criminal acts (or it is suspected), notify the police as soon as possible and record the police event number.
- Under no circumstance should you admit liability for loss or damage as this may impact your ability to make a claim under your insurance policies.

o Location where circumstances originated
o Estimate of loss
o Action being taken to minimise loss
o Whether police or emergency services were called
